E-Government
Vietnam’s National Conference and Exhibition on E-Government has been a flagship event since 2015. Co-organized by IDG Vietnam, the Government Office, and the Ministry of Information and Communications, it serves as a high-level platform to advance digital governance.
The conference fosters the exchange of international e-government models and best practices, adapting global insights for Vietnam’s specific context. It also showcases crucial IT solutions vital for e-government progress. Typically, the event draws around 450 delegates and features over 20 speakers, including leaders from central ministries, key provinces and cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang, specialized e-government units, and international organizations.

The Vietnam Digital Government Conference & Expo 2022, held on October 14, 2022, in Hai Phong, focused on advancing national digital transformation. Co-organized by IDG Vietnam and VDCA, the hybrid event discussed leveraging the national population database, digital citizen data governance, digital commerce, and technology for regional economies and education. The CDO Awards 2022 ceremony was also part of the summit.
The Conference on E-Government Development 2020, held in Ho Chi Minh City on September 17, 2020, centered on "Developing E-Government, Promoting Online Public Services Towards Digital Government - Models & Solutions." The event saw high-level participation from the Government Office, MIC, HCMC People's Committee, ministries, and businesses. Discussions included the National Public Service Portal roadmap, digital government, and national digital transformation, with parallel sessions on digital transformation in logistics, education (University 4.0, open education), and healthcare (digital health management, Telemedicine).
E-Government 2019, held in Hue on July 26, 2019, focused on e-government development, specifically the National Public Service Portal and smart cities. The conference featured a plenary session with government directives and international insights, alongside parallel sessions on technology for e-government/smart cities and administrative reform. Technology companies showcased solutions, and the event included networking and cultural tours.
The Vietnam E-Government Symposium 2015, hosted by the HCMC Dept. of Information & Communications and organized by IDG Vietnam, was held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 21-22, 2015. The event, themed "Building a Smart City Strategy with a Focus on E-Government Implementation," brought together over 400 leaders and experts. Discussions covered smart city strategies, the application of Internet of Everything and SMAC in E-Government, and the data revolution, alongside thematic sessions on effective E-Health services and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). An accompanying exposition showcased the latest technology solutions for E-Government, E-Health, and ITS.
