Biography:

Mr. Hoang Le Minh, Dean of IT Faculty, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City – Ph.D. in Mathematics – Computer Science (Moscow State University), has many years of teaching experience at various Universities and research institutions in Europe, the United States, and Japan, such as Steklov Institute of Mathematics – Soviet Union Academy of Sciences (1984 – 1987), The Banach-Balan Research Center (1988), International Centre for Theoretical Physics – Italia (1989-1991), University of Nice and Paris 13 (1992, 1998), National University of Singapore (1994), Osaka International University (2001); He  has held the positions of Dean of Department Applied Informatics – Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City – University of Science (1995-2000), Director of Software Center, National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Head of the Information Technology Projects Management Division, Ho Chi Minh City (2003 – 2005), Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Posts and Telecommunications (2005), Director of Vietnam National Institute of Software and Digital Content Industry (Ministry of Information and Communications (2008-2017). He is an expert with decades of experience in teaching, research, and participation in numerous State-level, central and local ministerial-level projects on  Information Technology (IT). He has a deep understanding of various areas related to High-Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, Data Science, and more. His specialist field since he started teaching and researching at the Faculty of Information Technology, Van Lang University (November 2017), is Computer Vision, Smart Data Analysis, and Processing to support Digital Transformation. 

Mr. Hoang Le Minh is currently a member of the Executive Board of the National Entrepreneurship Association (ViNen), Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association for Information Processing and a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association. He has participated in many domestic and international conferences, seminars and talk shows related to digital transformation applications and current topical topics in the IT field.
