Smart Industry & Transportation
The Smart Industry & Transportation event, organized by IDG Vietnam every four years, focuses intensely on the advancements and applications of Industry 4.0 technology. Its core mission is to foster the exchange of expertise and provide actionable insights for government and corporate entities on implementing new technologies effectively. In 2017, the event demonstrated significant reach, attracting upwards of 1,000 attendees and contributions from 50 distinguished speakers.

Smart Industry & Transportation 2021, a conference and expo organized by IDG Vietnam, was held on June 25, 2021 (as part of a June 24-25 event) at the Sheraton Saigon Hotel. The event's theme was "Effective Application of Technology 4.0 to Develop Industrial-Agricultural Production, E-commerce & Transportation Logistics in Vietnam". The conference included main sessions focused on applying Industry 4.0 technologies (like AI, IoT, automation) in industrial/agricultural production, e-commerce development for the digital economy, and advancements in transportation and logistics. An exhibition accompanied the conference sessions.
Smart Industry World 2017, a conference and expo hosted by the Central Economic Commission (CEC) and organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and IDG, was held on December 4-5, 2017, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi. Focused on "Shaping & Developing Smart Manufacturing Industries In The Future," the event featured high-level participation, including Vietnam's Prime Minister. It included keynote addresses on Industry 4.0 trends and digitalization, an executive panel discussion, and concurrent specialized sessions covering the transformation of manufacturing and agriculture, service sector growth in the digital age (including banking/Fintech), and strategies for building smart cities. A Smart Technology Exhibition ran alongside the conference.
