Security World 2023, the annual national conference and expo on information safety and security organized by IDG Vietnam and the Government Cipher Committee since 2007, was held on March 29th in Hanoi and streamed online. The event centered on the theme "VIETNAM CYBER SECURITY: READY TO ACT AGAINST NEW AGENTS - ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, CHATGPT, VIRTUAL NETWORKS, ROBOTICS, DEFINED SOFTWARE, EKYC...". It featured a main reporting session and a high-level panel discussion that addressed the cybersecurity landscape and preparedness against emerging threats such as AI, covering key topics like new strategies, awareness, large-scale data storage security, risk mitigation, OT security, and the impact of AI. An exhibition with over 20 booths was also part of the event, with approximately 500 in-person attendees expected.
Security World 2022, the annual national conference and expo on information safety and security, was held on March 4, 2022, in Hanoi. Organized by IDG Vietnam and the Government Cipher Committee since 2007, the event focused on the theme "New Challenges, New Solutions to Ensure Information Safety and Security for National Key Areas." The conference featured expert reports covering topics such as the state of cybercrime, product testing, incident response, attack trends, and cloud security. A notable highlight was a live cyber incident response drill coordinated by the Government Cipher Committee's Center for IT and Cyber Security Monitoring. An accompanying exhibition showcased various security technologies and solutions, with over 600 guests expected to attend.
Security World 2019, a conference and expo, was held on May 29-30, 2019, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hanoi. Hosted by the Ministry of Public Security and organized/supported by its Cyber Security Department, the Authority of Information Security (MIC), and IDG, the event featured conference sessions with keynote presentations and panel discussions, an exhibition showcasing security products and solutions, and various networking opportunities, including an evening reception.
