Dr. Nguyen Son Hai who has more than 10 years of experience in the leading role of information technology in the Ministry, now he is a Director of the Information Technology Department, Ministry of Education & Training. He conducts research in the areas of information technology, information technology application, information safety and security, teaching information technology in schools, and developing information technology human resources across the entire education sector. He also executes projects, programs, plans, tasks, and projects related to information technology applications.

He supervises and directs several crucial initiatives to bring the nation's education system into line with the fourth industrial revolution, and he offers advice to the minister of education and training on how to create the state's management structure for education using the e-Government model. Nguyen Son Hai graduated with a BA in Mathematics and Information Technology, an Engineer in Information Technology, and a Master in Information Management. He was awarded many certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training for his outstanding achievements in management and professional work, contributing to bringing the Ministry of Education and Training up 9 places, ranking 3rd out of 20 ministries and sectors on the readiness index for development and application of information and communication technology in Vietnam 2016 (Vietnam ICT Index 2016).
