
Mr. Vu Viet Ngoan
Mr. Vu Viet Ngoan was born in 1958, holds a Ph.D. in finance, and has served as Chairman of the National Financial Supervisory Commission in Vietnam. In the early 1990s, he obtained a Master's degree in Peace Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. He then worked at Vietcombank, starting as Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Bank and eventually becoming its CEO in 2000. After serving as CEO for seven years, he became Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee and a member of the Vietnamese National Assembly. He later served as Chairman of the National Financial Supervisory Commission and as Head of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Team. He retired on April 1, 2019, according to Decision No. 334/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister of Vietnam.
